Quarterly Weather : Q3 into Q4 Weather Projections - Bitcoin Specific

At times, temperatures can effect cooling system performance; however, we’ve still been able to maintain a 99.95% uptime across time especially during the hottest month of the summer which is typically July. In short, we’re expecting lower temps moving into the end of the year. And, now to the projection:

Historically, August & September months have recorded higher temperatures during the summer months, with 2020 experiencing 7 days in August and 3 in September over 100°F. In 2021, there were 5 days in August and 2 in September, while 2022 had 8 days in August and 4 in September. The pattern continued in 2023 with 6 days in August and 2 in September reaching above 100°F. This trend indicates a steady occurrence of extreme heat during the late summer months, but not a large quantity. Historically for the year, we are past the hottest month being July – while still maintaining one of the highest uptimes in the industry due to our cooling methods, preparation for summer, and systems in place.

Based on this recent historical weather history, it is reasonable to project that locations globally will continue to experience a similar frequency of hot days in the upcoming years. Specifically, it can be estimated that there will likely be around 5 to 8 days in August and 2 to 4 days in September with temperatures exceeding 100°F (this is our projection based on historical data).

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) considers this trend indicative of broader climate warming, characterized by increased frequency and intensity of heatwaves. This warming trend is reflected in the increasing number of days exceeding 100°F, as seen in the recent years' data. NOAA's assessments highlight that these temperature increases are part of a larger pattern of climate change, driven by both natural variability and anthropogenic factors.
